Isabelle Cowan is an artist based in Brisbane (Meanjin), Queensland, Australia working between drawing, painting and print. Their practice focuses on constant experimentation, repetition, rule setting and process. They have exhibited their work throughout their bachelor's and Honours degrees at the Queensland College of Art and Design, where they have been the recipient of several academic awards and was awarded an ongoing internship/ creative partnership with Grey Hand Press, Northgate.

Isabelle currently works as a curator and installer, assisting with student shows and independently run artist initiatives. They are active as both an exhibition artist, curator and installer locally and nationally.

Isabelle is the current co-manager and exhibitions officer at Land Street Gallery, Toowong, Brisbane and teaching assistant for Queensland College of Art and Design’s drawing program.
